Material contains papers of John W. Clifford regarding his service in the U.S. Army from 1940 to 1971. Contains a summary of Clifford's World War II experiences, copied and original photographs of Clifford from World War II to 2002, the transcript of a news report about one of Clifford's operations in 1944, and copied newspaper articles circa 1944-1969. Also contains a handwritten account of Clifford's contact with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints during World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. Includes a letter written by his commander for an award in 1963, military documents, a list of Clifford's achievements, an account written by Clifford about invasions at Hollandia and Leyte, a summary of Clifford's church service written in 2002, and a summary of his life. Dated 1944-2002.
