The letters were written to Spencer's children when he was in St. Louis, Missouri and largely relate to family matters. Handwritten letters. The items were written by family members and by members of the Universalist Church of America. Stacy is invited to a convention and asked to speak at a meeting, to help in finding a minister, and to help settle doctrinal disputes. One item is from his children and deal largely with personal and family matters. Most of the items were written when Stacy was living in New York state.
