Scrapbook of newspaper clippings, pamphlets, letters received, photographs, and maps. The materials relate to Chapin's efforts as a missionary in Utah for the Utah Gospel Mission of Cleveland.

Handwritten letter dated December 19, 1876 and addressed to a Canns or Canus Dalton. The item was signed "Thomas Chaplin." Chaplin discusses some biblical verses about the sons of Israel.
