The collection is a series of fifty-three bound volumes covering performances financed by the Community Concert Association between 1942 and 1989. Each program contains the evening's musical itinerary, notes on each piece, and a biography of the performer or performers. Music of all genres and styles is represented, from standard concert repertoire to ballets, operas, jazz, and folk, played by both American and international musicians.
