This collection includes several personal and business letters between 1863 and 1925, and letters of condolence at the time of Carter's death in 1881. In addition there is an undated map of Fort Bridger detailing the water lines and buildings.

Collection includes one catalogue documenting materials owned by Charles E. Anthon to be sold at an auction held in New York on the 29-30 October 1877.
John Taylor certificates of copyright
Photocopies of printed certificates with handwritten additions. The materials were from the Copyright Office of the Library of Congress. The items were sent to John Taylor (1808-1887), third president of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, granting him copyrights for two books. These items were entitled: "History of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints" and "Biography of Joseph Smith, American Prophet."
Jerome Bonaparte Chafee correspondence
Handwritten correspondence between Chafee and members of his family. The materials deal largely with personal matters. Among the correspondence are found letters by Ulysses Simpson Grant, Jr., Cafee's son-in-law.

Handwritten and signed letter discussing property divisions and land prices in the Walnut Hills area of Cincinatti, Ohio. The letter was addressed to John C. Pulliam of Cambridge, Missouri.
M. Champollion-Figeac notes
Handwritten lists and research notes. These items appear to include extracts of documents and letters of kings, queens, and other nobles of France and England in the Middle Ages. Champollion-Figeac probably used these materials as resource materials in one of his numerous publications.
