William Bowker Preston receipts
Handwritten and printed receipts. The items record the transactions and purchases made by Preston at the Bishop's General Storehouse in Salt Lake City, Utah. Also included is a letter to Preston that was written in Bedford, Wyoming. The item is unsigned, but its salutation was "Dear Uncle."
John Prichard letter
Handwritten and signed letter, dated 5 June 1849, and addressed to George Prichard of Garrettsville, Ohio. George is John's brother. John writes about family matters and reports on the condition of Mormons in Salt Lake City, Utah. John Prichard's familiarity with the Mormons may mean he was a member of that faith.

Young" and "Brief Social and Civic History of Gaylen Snow Young and Mary R. Young and our Family." Also included is an essay entitled: "My Testimony: Why and How" by Gaylen S. Young, Jr.

Hester Telle Richards diary and correspondence
Collection includes a handwritten diary, letters, and miscellaneous items. The bulk of the diary was written from 1891 to 1893 prior to her marriage. The entries are lengthy and often introspective. The volume includes some later entries from 1932 to 1933 and some notes from 1980 in another hand. Also included is miscellaneous correspondence relating to business and family matters from 1932 and 1933.
