William O. Robinson papers

Scope and Contents

Diaries, a scrapbook, newspaper clippings, essays, poems, correspondence, a biography, a published book with handwritten corrections, and a film strip. The materials deal with Robinson's dancing, music, and educational careers. The diaries are in six volumes and relate to Robinson's mission for the Mormon Church in Colorado.

Willis E. Robison journals

Abstract

Handwritten missionary journals and typescripts. The items describe Robison's experiences while serving in the Southern States Mission of the Mormon Church. In particular the journal relates information about the slaying of John H. Gibbs and William S. Berry, two Mormon missionaries in the mission; the subsequent investigation of the slayings by Robison and his mission president B.H. Roberts; as well as other stories of persecution towards Mormons.

Ed Rowe papers

Scope and Contents Handwritten diaries, photograph albums, newspaper articles, mementos, programs, essays, and a doctoral dissertation. The diaries were kept by Rowe when he served as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Wales from 1903 to 1906. Many of the materials relate to the Cambrain Association of Utah and performances of William Shakespeare's plays. Levi Savage diaries

Scope and Contents Handwritten diaries. The original items are housed in two boxes while the photocopies of these materials are housed in three. There are many gaps in the entries including a sixteen-year gap from 1861 to 1877. Savage writes about his mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to "Siam" (Thailand) from 1852 to 1856.
