Scope and Contents Photocopy of a microfilm copy of a typewritten manuscript. The item is a biography of Mary Emma Lowder Webb, who was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, in 1863. Her family moved to Parowan, Utah, in 1863 and then to Panguitch, Utah, in 1864. The family moved to Paragoonah, Utah, in 1866 because of the Black Hawk War with Ute Indians. At the end of hostilities, the family returned to Parowan. Most of the account is told in the words of Mary Emma Lowder Webb which was probably edited by Luella...

Photocopy of a microfilm copy of a typewritten biography. Martha Carless was born in England in 1831 and married William Rawlings Webb in 1854. They joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1860, migrated to Utah in 1867, and settled in American Fork. She died in 1905.

Photocopy of a microfilm copy of a typed biography. William R. Webb was born in England in 1829, married Martha Carless in 1854, and joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1860. He migrated to Utah in 1867 and settled in American Fork. He took a second wife, returned to England in 1886 as a missionary for the Mormon Church, and died in 1915. Also included is a poem written by Webb to "Sister Ellen Barrett on Her Fiftieth Birthday."
