Niels Christian Jensen autobiography and day book
Photocopies of a handwritten autobiography and a day book. Jensen writes about his life in Denmark including his participation in the war with Prussia in 1864. Jensen also relates his migration to the United States; his conversion to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints; his settling in Manti and Richmond, Utah; and his later move to the Rexburg, Idaho, area.
John Nielsen personal history
Photocopy of a typed transcript of a personal history. Nielsen describes his life growing up in Denmark, his family's emigration to America, and his experiences and hardships after arriving in Utah.
William L. Watkins biographical sketches
Typescript (plus carbon copy) of an autobiography written by Watkins which gives a life history from his birth until his arrival in Utah in 1852. Also includes a typewritten biography of Watkins from 1852 to his death, written by his daughter, Aurilla Watkins Whipple. Also includes a typescript of Watkins' certificate of United States citizenship and a letter from the donor.
