Photographs of Brigham Young University activities
This collection contains 59 negatives and 59 prints produced from those negatives. The negatives appear to be older than the prints, which were produced in 1968. The photographs are of BYU track and field, football, and dance. There are also photographs of groups of people at Aspen Grove, as well as photographs of individuals. Other photographs are of mountains, mines, and businesses.
Photographs of the Mormons
Collection includes ten photographs of individuals associated with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. These include Spencer W. Kimball, temple workers at the Logan Temple, the Hyrum Stake Sunday School Board, and others.
C. R. Savage photograph collection
Contains primarily original prints of photographs by Savage, covering all periods of his career. Of the 839 items, over 750 are clearly Savage photographs. Eighteen other photographers are also named, including Alfred A. Hart, Edw. J. Muybridge, and possibly Carleton E. Watkins photograph. Includes landscapes in Utah and the West, with many in Salt Lake City. Also includes portraits, many of leaders of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, with many of Brigham Young.
Mahonri Young photographs, postcards, and other material
Mahonri Mackintosh Young (1877 to 1957) was a notable american artist and sculptor. He was a grandson of Brigham Young and designed many of Utah's well-known monuments, including "The Seagull" and "This is the Place".
