Morgan Stake history

Abstract

The Morgan Stake history is a typed history that accounts from the beginning of the Morgan Stake in 1877 until 1981. The history relates the settling of Morgan, the history of the church buildings, and the biographies of the church leaders in the Morgan Stake. Also included are the biographical sketches of all the stake presidents of the Morgan Stake.

Contains materials which document the history of and activities conducted by the Women's Auxiliary of the Mormon Battalion association, located in Utah. Materials date from between 1901 and 2012.

Materials include reports, minutes, biographies, correspondence, histories, newsletters, and other materials from the Mormon Battalion Association and its earlier women's auxiliary organization, both of which were headquartered in Lehi, Utah. The materials document the activities and governance of these organizations, as well as the history of the original Mormon Battalion of 1846-1847. Materials date from between 1846 and 2012.

Abstract Photocopies of reminiscences, histories, maps, and miscellaneous materials relating to the early Mormon experience in Ohio and New Hampshire. A. Gary Anderson and Milton V. Backman, Jr., faculty members of the Department of Church History and Doctrine, Brigham Young University, did research on Mormon Church history. Anderson worked in New Hampshire in 1973 and Backman did research in Ohio in 1974. Their project was to collect copies of manuscripts and documents relating to the early members...
