The subject material is dated 1871-1877, but Walker's oldest daughter, Zaidee Walker Miles, copied the content in her own handwriting in 1939. The history begins with a meeting on April 15, 1871 where a letter was read from President Brigham Young that announced a temple would be built in St. George. Handwritten and signed poem dated 21 Nov. 1828. The poem contains six stanzas of six lines each. It begins with, "Daniels wisdom may I know/ Stephen's faith and spirit show ..." It ends with, "... Where immortal spirits reign/ There we all meet again." The item was composed in "Carlisle" in a unlisted state. Most likely, it was written either in Pennsylvania or in Massachusetts.
