Primarily contains large-scale works such as operas, symphonic works, and cantatas composed over the course of Boren's lifetime, including his Masters' Thesis and works comissioned by the Brigham Young University Philharmonic and Chamber Orchestra. Items are primarily computer-printed scores, with some manuscripts and onion skin copies. Some solo works (specifically sonatas) have been included in this series, having been printed on large-sized paper.

Contains primarily smaller ensemble or solo instrumental works, particularly for the harp, composed over the course of Murray Boren's career. Many of these works have been commissioned by the Barlow Endowment of Brigham Young University's School of Music and the American Harp Society.
