Report by Ken Jacobs, who collected information from Mrs. Rex Jacobs, who received it from her great aunt, Mary Jacobs Howard, who received a written account from a witness. Set in Salt Lake Valley, August 1898. Story recounts how four farms are in grave danger from a wildfire until a bishop rebukes it with upraised arms.

Report by LaVon Cole, who collected information from Melody Scholes. Story recounts how an unconscious boy receives a blessing telling him he won't live long. Before dying, he comes to long enough to tell his mother he'll see her again, and to give a more foreboding farewell to his less-religious father (which reforms him).

Story recounts how Dean's cousin is very ill, is blessed that she will live, and sees visions of dead relatives in a beautiful setting, by which she is convinced that she wants to pass on. She cannot do so until the blessing is rescinded by the uncle who gave it.
