Submitted by BYU student Lisa Jackson New about crocheting and how it is passed down from mother to daughter, common conceptions about crocheting and how the practice has changed over time. Includes a cover essay, autobiography, informants' interviews about how they first started/became interested in crocheting, as well as their styles, male crocheters, and pictures of the things they make. Prepared for New's Winter 2012 English 392 class for Professor Eric Eliason.
A stitch in time : personal narratives pieced together in quilts / Aleisha Brady Bourne, 2002
Bourne interviews her mother in a quest to find out how her mother began quilting and what quilting means to her family. Included in the interview are the steps that Bourne's mother took to become involved in quilting, stories behind different quilts and images of some of the quilts that her mother had created. Project was created for Kristi Bell's English 391 course taught at Brigham Young University during winter semester 2002.

This project contains information about Steele family attitudes towards quilting. Also included are various photos of their quilts. This 7 item collection contains the family interviews and a 29 page appendix featuring color photographs of the collected family quilts. Submitted by BYU student Michael J. Petersen for his Fall 1988 English 391 class. About how jokes reflect many aspects of society, especially the racial slurs. Contains a cover essay, autobiographical sketch, list of informants, and informant items. Items include Pollacks being worthless to society, good aspects being overshadowed by the bad, Pollack as a big dumb athlete, and the pollack as a dirty filthy person.

Fergus explored patterns found on tombstones in the Provo City Cemetery and what the similarities are between various gravestones. Included are images of tombstones with comparisons of flat markers, raised block markers, urn motifs, tablets, double stones, and vaults. Project was created for an English 391 in 1970.
A study of superstitions among athletes of different sports / Brent Callister, 1997
Callister collected good luck traditions practiced by athletes to improve their performance while competing. Included are wearing a lucky pair of underwear, tapping the golf club to the tee box on the first hole, and eating cream of wheat and a power bar before a race. The project was written for an English 392 class taught at Brigham Young University in 1997.
