Ruth H. Barrus papers
Papers and scrapbooks relating to her work in humanities and music at Ricks College, her role as mother and wife, and position as 1978 Idaho Mother of the Year. Collection includes correspondence, newspaper clippings, personal journals (1976-1979), class syllabi, grant applications, and papers written for publication and presentation. Includes information on the 1976 Teton Dam disaster.
Mary Ann Richards diary and almanac
Contains one small red Lady's Almanac in which Richards recorded brief entries about her daily life in Malden, Illinois in 1856. Includes entries about her daughter Carrie's health issues and eventual death. Almanac contains advertisements, poems, astronomical and Zodiac signs, information about female medical schools, stories, and information on women's domestic issues. Dated 1856.
Blanche Hatch Woodland papers
Contains the personal diaries of Ruth Blanche Hatch Woodland, as well as other booklets, and letters from the Booklore Club Ruth belonged to. Diary entries and other material describes the basic day to day activities of Ruth between 1904 and 1982.
Young Mothers Council records
Contains a scrapbook of the Young Mothers Council which covers the years 1965-1973. It includes programs, meeting minutes, photographs, letters, and newspaper clippings about the events of the club during those years. The second box in the collection contains loose programs, meeting minutes, letters, photographs, and newspaper clippings dealing with the life of the council.
