Materials contain a detailed memoir of Garth B. Cottam giving his experiences in training and service during World War II in Pacific Theater. Contains letters of condolences for Cottam's parents as Cottam was missing in action and later pronounced dead, includes other such correspondence, certificates, and awards. Contains photocopied photographs of Cottam in his uniform. Dated 1941-1946, approximately 2006.
