Alexander McRae letters

Scope and Contents

This collection consists of a photocopy of a handwritten transcription of letters that were transcribed from a microfilm copy of letters composed by Alexander McRae. Most of the letters were addressed to McRae's children and other family members. They deal largely with personal matters, but he mentions some business concerns and recounts some of the news of Salt Lake City. Some are official letters concerned with bishopric and related church matters. Dated 1880 to 1886.

Andrew Burt Horsley oral history

Scope and Contents Contains audio recording on compact disc and transcription for Andrew Burt Horsley's oral history given during a family home evening originally recorded on audiocasette tape in October 1996. The transcripion was performed by Andrew Sannar. The account covers Horsley's mission experiences in Germany, especially focused on the events leading up to his and his companion's escape from Germany when the missionaries withdrew from the country. Collection contains three cassette tapes with an oral history of Stanislawa Habel conducted by Dennis Campbell. Materials document her life story as she lived in Poland in the 1940s to 1970s as well as her immigration to Canada before finally moving to Utah in 1991. The materials discuss Stanislawa Habel's childhood in Poland, her family life, her conversion to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and her career as a nurse. LeNora Foster photographs and interview

Collection of 8 photographs, 2 flyers, and one transcribed interview relating to the vaudeville career of LeNora Thomas Foster. The photographs are primarily platinum prints with some gelatin silver prints. LeNora had a juggling act in Utah with her younger sister, Edrie, in the early twentieth century. The photographs date from 1914 and show LeNora and Edrie with the items they juggled. The interview was conducted by Rebecca J. Cornwall and related to LeNora's performing career.
