Daniel H. Wells deeds for Brigham Young
Handwritten and printed deeds of conveyance from Wells to Brigham Young, the second president of the Mormon Church. The items confirm that Young owns various lots in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Register of Deseret National Bank transactions
The folder contains handwritten and printed banking transactions between 1875-1877. One is a deposit slip, while the other is a statement that an outstanding loan cannot be collected.
Diary
This is a holograph diary covering from 1 July 1881 to 15 April 1884. During this time, the author worked as a surveyor for the Utah Central Railroad in Spanish Fork Canyon and vicinity. The first 17 pages of the document are in pencil and the remainder are in ink. The hand is often difficult to decypher, especially since many of the entries are partly in shorthand (Pitman).
Theodore Bronson diary
Handwritten diary. Bronson writes about his journey by train across the United States with Morris K. Jesup, the sponsor and member of the trip. He describes the lands which he saw and gives his impression of Salt Lake City, Utah, and the Mormons he met there. Bronson also writes about his stay in San Francisco, California, including visits to various buildings and an opium den.
Disposition of lumber at mills in Big Cottonwood Canyon
Handwritten lists of the amount of lumber produced at lumber mills in Big Cottonwood Canyon above Salt Lake City, Utah, and to whom it was sold. Some of the lumber was sold to Brigham Young, second president of the Mormon Church.
Henry Aldous Dixon diaries
Handwritten diaries. Dixon writes about his missionary activities in for the Mormon experience in England and South Africa. Dixon also tells about his work in the general tithing office of the Mormon Church in Salt Lake City, Utah, and his work for the Provo Woolen Mills in Provo, Utah.

John Druce diary
Photocopy of a handwritten diary. Druce was born in England; was apprenticed as a baker in London in the 1830s; moved to Manchester; joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1842; migrated to the United States in 1846; worked as an engraver in New York State; migrated to Utah in 1861; settled in Salt Lake City, Utah; and served on a mission for the Church in the Eastern States in 1876.

Microfilmed diaries (1886-1958), correspondence, newsclippings, and ephemera (advertisements, programs, and a prohibition poster). Some letters include correspondence with Mormon leaders Francis M. Lyman, Heber J. Grant, and Charles W. Penrose. The diaries concern his missions for the Mormon Church in England, and life in Loa, Freemont, and Salt Lake City, Utah.
