Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints New York, New York Stake records
Newspaper clippings, radio scripts, letters, membership records, photographs, minutes, a map, a diary, programs, and histories. The materials relate largely to the organization, membership, and function of the stake. Many of the items also relate to David and Lyle Paine, members of the stake.
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Orderville Ward record books
Handwritten records of the Orderville United Order. The items include minutes of board of directors meetings, laws, lists of members, and histories of varioius departments of the order. Also with the collection are three letters and a financial report. The letters relate to the function of the organization.
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Southern States Mission records
Photocopies of handwritten church records including minutes of meetings and newspaper clippings. Most of the items relate to the activies of the Mormon Church in Florida including the creation of the Florida Stake. The district clerk who recorded the minutes was Joseph S. Copeland.
The Church Under Brigham Young, 1844-1847
Handwritten and signed history of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints while Brigham Young served as its president. Margarett Young writes about Brigham Young's leadership and his impact on the faith. The date of the composition of the item is uncertain.
Emma Carroll Seegmiller and Amy Carroll Stark Circleville, Utah, collection
Two typewritten histories of Orderville, Utah, by Emma Carroll Seegmiller and Amy Carroll Stark. Also included are family histories of four Mormon families in Orderville. The items tell about life in the town and about the United Order established there.
George A. Clark notes on Utah coal
Materials include the 1911 report on coal mines in Utah, as gathered by Clark.
William Clayton family records
History of the name Clayton, a personal letter (including a pedigree chart), and a journal of Archer Walters.
Coleman family histories
Photocopies of typescripts. File contains excerpts from three documents, all originally compiled by Evans Coleman: "History of the Coleman Family;" "Saint Johns Purchase;" and "Biography of Emma Beck Coleman." These documents were originally compiled between 1938 and 1942, although all of them refer to events either in Missouri during the late 1830s or in Arizona during the 1880s.
Albert Collard history
Photocopy of a typewritten history. The item states: "voyage of Ester Stevenson Grange and parents on the ship 'Martha Siddon,' told by Albert Collard, a boy passanger, 1855." Collard relates the conditions and hardships of a group of migrating Mormons. The voyage took place aboard the ship, "Martha Siddon."
