Scope and Contents Contains handwritten statements and a newspaper clipping. The materials relate to a Curtis B. Hawley who was implicated in an "Episode of a Pay Roll Robbery and a Double Hanging in Gila County in the Autumn of 1880." An article in the "Arizona Republican" on 19 April 1922 stated that Hawley was a Mormon. A letter written by A. W.
