American artists autograph collection
Autographs of prominent artists of the United States. Most of the items date from around the turn of the twentieth century. Many of the autographs are accompanied with portraits of the artists and copies of some of their art work apparently taken from magazines. Some of the autographs are found at the bottom of brief notes or letters. One item is a menu with numerous autographs on it.
Joseph M. Bauman collection of photographs of Utah
George Caitlin letter
Handwritten and signed letter dated November 4, 1841 and addressed to Col. Aspinwall, the American Consul. Catlin requests passports for his nephew who is going to Paris, France to attempt to sell some of Catlin's work of the North American Indians.
Rell G. Francis collection on Elfie Huntington
Collection contains materials gathered by Rell G. Francis in the course of his research on Elfie Huntington. These materials include original photographs and negatives from Elfie Huntington, copies of her original photographs, letters to and from people that knew Elfie Huntington, other materials from individuals that knew Elfie Huntington, and notes and manuscripts from Rell G. Francis from the course of his research. Materials dated approximatley 1900-2012.
