Abstract

Correspondence, a scrapbook, a ledger book, newspaper clippings, receipts, bank statements, a genealogical pedigree chart, and photographs. The materials relate to Andrus' business activities with the Intermountain Mutual Insturance Company and to his farm. Also includes record books of the Intermountain Mutual Life Insurance Company, Idaho Falls, recorded by the president, N. Leslie Andrus, with dates ranging from circa 1937-1946.

Scope and Contents

Ledger containing information as to the expense accounts of Storm A. Bickers, including various entries related to the construction of the Schoharie Turnpike. Also includes newspaper clippings, leaves, and drawings interspersed within its pages. The ledger was used between circa 1805 to 1852.

This collection is made up of diaries, account books, and letters kept by Amanda Hastings between 1898-1940. Also included are several newspaper clippings pertaining to family history, important events, or submissions to the paper by Amanda Hastings.

Abstract The Thomas L. and Elizabeth W. Kane family collection, 1835-1931, contains a series of materials relating primarily to Thomas, Elizabeth, and three of their four children: Harriet Amelia Kane, Elisha Kent Kane, and Evan O'Neill Kane. Among these is an American Civil War pocketbook kept by Thomas L. Kane; an original patriarchal blessing given to Thomas at Council Bluffs by Mormon patriarch John Smith and recorded by Wilford Woodruff; a letter sent from Brigham Young to Thomas when the latter...

Abstract

Collection includes scrapbooks, photographs, correspondence, farm records, newspaper clippings, and genealogical materials created and collected by Doris Bennett Smith.

Scope and Contents

Materials include William Smith's account book, life history, journal, and newspaper clippings. The journal contains Smith's accounting notes, his life history, and some newspaper clippings glued to the inside front cover. Seven loose or unattached newspaper clippings document natural disasters, death, and theological discussions are also a part of the collection. Dated 1869-1911.

Also contains the missionary diaries of Henry Bartholomew to the Southern States and British missions. Includes financial documents, journals, address books, calling cards, and newspaper clippings belonging to the Tuttle family. Includes Clara Tuttle's patriarchal blessing. Also includes Garretty's Guide to Salt Lake City (circa 1890).

Scope and Contents

Contains histories, programs, and calendars of the Utah Sorosis Club. There are scrapbooks with photographs from the Sorosis Literary Club, minutes from meetings, letters of application from potential members, and other clippings. Also includes calendars of events for the club's yearly events. Finally, there is a book that tracks the finances of the club for about thirty-five years. All materials relate to the administration and activities of the Utah Sorosis Club.

Scope and Contents

Letters, poems, a ledger book, newspaper clippings, programs, a family genealogy, an autograph book, and memorabilia including a lief that rested on the coffin of Brigham Young. The materials relate to Naamah's family and to the genealogy of the Carter family.
