Biographical History
Doris Bennett Smith (1890-1969) was an active member of the LDS church as well as active in the Draper chapter of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers.
Doris Bennett Smith was born in Mound Valley, Idaho, December 28, 1890. She married Robert Lauritz Smith in Salt Lake City, Utah, in the LDS temple September 3, 1909. Together they had ten children. An active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Doris Smith served as secretary of her local Relief Society organization while she lived in Draper, Utah. In addition to church activity, she was also active in the Draper chapter of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. Her husband died April 10, 1943, and Doris passed away October 14, 1969.
