Bigler writes about his relationship with the first president of the Mormon Church, Joseph Smith (1805-1844), his life in Nauvoo, Illinois, his migration to Utah, and his life in Nephi, Utah. Bigler served on a mission for the Mormon Church in Ireland and was active in Mormon Church activities in Nephi.

Photocopy of a microfilm copy of a typewritten biography of William Armstrong by Coddington. Armstrong was born in 1805 in Scotland, joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and migrated to Utah in 1853. He worked in Salt Lake City, Utah, but later moved to American Fork, Utah, where he died in 1895.

Jonathan Harriman Holmes diary

Holmes writes about enlisting in the Mormon Battalion, the march to Santa Fe and to California, being discharged from the service, and his travels to Sacramento, California, and to Salt Lake City, Utah. Also included is an obituary for Holmes, his account book, and biographies of Franklin Weaver and Sarah Elizabeth Holmes.

William Decatur Kartchner autobiography

Handwritten autobiography. Kartchner writes about his early life in Pennsylvania; joining the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1843 and subsequently moving to Nauvoo, Illinois; and his migration to Utah in 1847. He lived in serveral places in Utah and settled in Arizona. Also included is a partriarchal blessing for Etta Kartchner.
