Robert Lang Campbell journal

Scope and Contents note The collection contains Campbell's original handwritten journal where he describes his missionary experiences in Scotland; emigration to Nauvoo, Illinois; experiences traveling to Utah as a Mormon pioneer; and duties as a Mormon Church leader. John Van Cott diaries

Scope and Contents

Handwritten diaries with typescripts. The diaries cover the years 1852 to 1856 and 1859 to 1862. Van Cott writes about his service as president of the Scandinavian mission of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He lived in Copenhagen, Denmark. He also writes about helping organize the migration of Mormon pioneers by handcart in 1856 at Iowa City, Iowa.

Scope and Contents Holograph diaries of Osmer Flake including an autobiography of his life from 1868 to 1893. The diaries cover 1893-1898, 1899-1913, 1935-1954. Also included is a diary of Osmer's first wife, Elsie Owens Flake 1897-1900 and a diary of his second wife, Ethel Ray Flake 1925-1926. Also in the collection is Osmer's biography of his father William Jordon Flake and an autograph book compiled at the Beaver Stake Academy, 1887-1888.
