Maeser Elementary School collection
This collection comprises much of the history of Maeser Elementary School, from its foundation in 1898 up through about 1996, six years before it closed. Included in the collection are histories, newspaper clippings, photographs, artifacts from the school, movie reels, and some school files. Most of the histories were created by the Parent Teacher Associaiton (PTA) at Maeser Elementary. Documents local school history and the history of Provo, Utah.
Walter McPhie papers
Contains the professional and personal papers of Walter McPhie. Materials include published journals with articles authored by McPhie, dissertations, theses, and other papers written by McPhie during his education, outlines for teaching courses on teacher improvement and gospel instruction, and other files. All materials pertain to the topic of secondary teacher education, teaching religious topics, or McPhie's life and family. Dated circa 1959-2009.
Remember our town
Photocopied photographs of old buidings in Tooele, Utah. Also included are materials relating to Tooele High School. They include: "Tooele High School Songs" and "The Development of our High School" by Marguerite Rice and Elise England Easterman. Rice and Easterman were members of the class of 1914, the first class to graduate from Tooele High School. Also with the collection is a photocopy of a newspaper article describing how Tooele High School got its mascot of a white buffalo.
Preston D. Richards papers
The collection consists of papers regarding the life of Preston D. Richards. The collection has correspondence, newspaper clippings, certificates, photographs and other papers. It specifically deals with his life in terms of his business, church, and personal relations. The collection dates 1894-1970.
School District No. 2 account book
Materials include an account book for School District No. 2 in New York for the cities of Caroline, Richford, and Dryden. It contains information on financial transactions within the district. Dated 1887-1915.
Wasatch Elementary School records
Patricia Wiles papers
Contains drafts of three novels by Patricia Wiles, the creator of the collection, as well as correspondence about novels, notes in the writing process, and magazines and other paraphernalia featuring her works. Dated approximately 1998-2008.
