Scope and Contents
The collection contains: (1) a letter to Oswald Johnson from a fraternity brother named Bill, serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Kolberg [Kolobrzeg, Poland], dated 26 September 1929. Four pages. (2) A poem, "Two Elders in S.C.", composed by Robert A. Paxton of Kanosh, Millard Co., Utah, who died while serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Grover, North Carolina according to a note at the end of the poem written by Wm. G. Ogilvie. Four pages. (3) A poem "Utah and the Mormons," unknown author, written in purple pencil. Note at the end in black ink dated 17 November 1894 addressed to Bro. [Will] Lee and signed by A. Smurthwaite. One page, two sides.
