Journal kept by Heber John Mulliner (1849-1920), a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving in England in 1894. Entries date from January 2 to November 23, 1894. Includes entries made while serving in or near Doncaster, Hatfield, and Gainsburo, England.

Although the journal's author is not identified on the item, based on the birthdate and place given by the author in the journal, it appears to belong to Florence Mulliner’s adopted father, Heber John Mulliner.

Biographical / Historical

Heber John Mulliner was born November 19, 1849 in Council Bluffs, Iowa, to Samuel Mulliner and Harriet Armelia Berry. Heber served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in England in 1894. Heber married Florence Betts on September 27, 1895, in Salt Lake City, Utah. They had one daughter. Heber died January 15, 1920, in Salt Lake City, Utah.
