Joanna Southcott sealing document
Scope and Contents
Handwritten certificate signed by Joseph Allman and Joanna Southcott. The item was also "sealed" with a red wax seal which meant that the holder would be among the 144,000 mentioned in the Book of Revelations who had a special calling at the return of Jesus Christ. The document states: "The sealed of the Lord the elect precious man's redemption to inherit the Tree of Life to be made heirs of God and joint heirs with Jesus Christ."

Biographical history
Joseph Allman was a follower of the Southcottian religious movement and a religious leader.
Joseph Allman lived in England during the late eighteenth century. He went on to become a follower of the religious movement of Joanna Southcott. He claimed that the visitation of the Holy Spirit had passed from Southcott to himself, titled himself "Zebulon", and began imitating Southcott by issuing purportedly divine communications in rhyme. He preached the doctrine of the "Woman-God" who was "the great, living, life-giving Divine World-Mother".
