Isabel F. Cowan correspondence
Scope and Contents
Contains fifteen letters received by Cowan from March 21, 1918 to September 7, 1920, eight of which are written by Frank Wilbur Randall and two by his wife Agnes Randall. Contents of these letters include his dealings in Arizona as an x-ray technician, including the smelter business, and about the death of Agnes. Agnes wrote about their move to Colorado. Five letters are written by others related to Frank and Agnes, including Jennie who is a sister to Guy Cowan, P. Callahan, Eli Webb who is related to the Cowans, and two unidentified authors. Dated 1918-1920.

Biographical History
Frank Wilbur Randall (1874-1930) was a doctor who worked with X-rays.
Frank Wilbur Randall was born on September 24, 1874, in Winnebago, Wisconsin to Edwin Mortimer Randall, Sr. and Lucretia Caroline Steele. On April 5, 1912 he married Mary Bise in Tombstone, Arizona. Later on September 21, 1914, he married Agnes Heaton Thompson in Cochise County, Arizona. He trained as a physician, and worked with X-rays in the 1910s, and worked in Douglas, Arizona at the Surgical Maternity Hospital. Randall then married again on July 25, 1920, to Magdalen Dettweiler in Douglas, Arizona.
Randall died on December 16, 1930 in Hot Springs, New Mexico.

Agnes H. Randall (1880-1918) was a doctor's wife in Arizona.
Agnes Jessie Heaton was born on October 21, 1880 in Wellsville, Utah to George Heaton and Jane Laidman Robinson. In 1911 she married John R. Thompson in Salt Lake City, Utah. She later married Frank Wilbur Randall on September 21, 1912, in Cochise County, Arizona, and they had one daughter. Agnes died on December 16, 1918 in Douglas, Arizona of influenza.
