Family History
The origin of the Delap family is Scotland and Ireland. The spellings of the name are as follows: Delap, DeLap, DeLapp, Dunlop. Descendants settled in Wisconsin, New York, and Massachusetts. One family in particular joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-days Saints, but did not follow the Saints west.
