Gomer Peacock (1888-1974) was the President of the Price Trading Company, and was active in community and civic matters throughout his life.

Bomer Parry Peacock was born August 11, 1888, in Manti, Utah, to Warren S. and Elizabeth Ann Parry Peacock. He married Mable Brown (1887-1977) in Castle Dale, Emery County, Utah, on May 12, 1912. They had three children: Louisa, Vivian, and Parry. In 1960, he retired as President of the Price Trading Company after working there for 42 years.

Peacock served on the board of directors of the Carbon-Emery Bank and as a member of the State Board of Education, District Seven. He served in many other positions in the community such as: a Price city councilman, chairman of a committee for construction of the city's culinary water pipeline, finance chairman of the first city hospital, chairman of the Carbon County Republican Central Committee, district governor of Rotary International, Price Club charter member, and other regional and local offices. In 1964, he recieved an award for service to Carbon College (now the College of Eastern Utah) and his role in keeping it from closing. In 1972, he was named a "Paul Harris Fellow" by Rotary for his civic achievements.

Peacock died on December 4, 1974, in Price, Utah.

The Peacock family lived in Emery County, Utah and was headed by Gomer Peacock and his wife, Mable Brown.

The Peacock family includes Gomer Parry Peacock (1942-1975) and his wife, Mable Brown Peacock (1887-1977), who married on May 8, 1912 and were residents of Emery County, Utah. Gomer was a business man who was active in social, civic, and community goings-on of his area and time; Mable wrote poetry, and researched genealogy and collected biographies for both of their families' ancestors. Gomer and Mable's children, Louise, Vivian, and Parry have maintained their parents' great traditions, passing them on to their own children.
