Taylor family photographs
Scope and Contents
This collection contains nine lantern slides taken by Fredrick Whitaker Taylor (or son) on a trip from Utah to San Francisco, California, in 1915 by the F.W. Taylor and the R.R. Irvine families to the Panama Pacific International Exposition. Also included are fifteen glass plate negatives and prints of family members including Leonora Taylor, and a CD with pictures of the Taylor family.

Biographical history
Frederick Whitaker Taylor (1866-1952) was the son of John Taylor. He became a doctor who practiced in Utah. He married Amelia Richards (1867-1957) in 1887.
Frederick Whitaker Taylor was born July 18, 1866, in Salt Lake City, Utah. He is the son of John Taylor, the third president of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and Sophia Whitaker Taylor (John Taylor's fifth wife). In 1887 he married Amelia Richards. He received his medical degree in 1893 and practiced until 1914 when World War I began. He entered the Medical Corps as a captain, and served in the Fort Douglas Hospital. He died January 11, 1952, and is buried in the Provo, Utah, cemetery.
