Administrative history

The Blue Blaze Coal Company in Consumers was originally the Consumers Mutual Coal Company, which had quickly populated the town of Consumers by being one of the first coal companies to utilize conveyer belts. It was bought by Blue Blaze in 1927, and continued operations until Blue Blaze foreclosed in 1938. It was subsequently purchased by the Hudson Coal Company.
