Biography

The Blue Blaze Coal Company in Consumers, Utah (1927-1938) bought out the Consumers Mutual Coal Company and continued operations until foreclosure.

The Blue Blaze Coal Company in Consumers was originally the Consumers Mutual Coal Company, which had quickly populated the town of Consumers by being one of the first coal companies to utilize conveyer belts. It was bought by Blue Blaze in 1927, and continued operations until Blue Blaze foreclosed in 1938. It was subsequently purchased by the Hudson Coal Company.

Microfilm copies of six volumes of payroll impression books. The original items are impressions from carbon paper. The materials relate to the Consumers Mutual Coal Company and also to the Blue Blaze Coal Company.
