Biographical History
Jon A. Evans was born in Ceder, Utah and married Florence Nelson in Salt Lake City, Utah in 1887. They had 9 children together. His penmanship and typewriting skills enabled him to serve as an asset to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as he typed detailed minutes and reports. These skills also allowed him to rise through the ranks of The Deseret News Company, where he worked from the time he was eleven until his death in 1906.
