States that he expects to write again in about three weeks; asks Margaret to write concerning herself, the family, and the church. Expects to return in the Spring. 2) Note from Phelps, possibly to Sally (unaddressed), signed by Phelps. Reminds Sally of dreams they both had before they were baptized, where he fed sheep and she watered cattle--tells her not to forget to water the cattle while he is feeding the sheep; describes another dream he has just had where Nephi came and spoke with him; tells her to ask James H. Rollins to send him all the red pencils he can. 4) Letter to "Mother and Sisters," possibly from William Waterman Phelps (unsigned). He has sent some papers to Henry Rollins and to them; the building of the House is going very fast--they are now to work on the steeple; sends his respects to Ira and Henry and Sarah Young and Lydia; he lives now at President Smith's; there are three stores in town, two belong to the church; they now hold meetings in "the House;" he does not know when they shall return home.
