Biographical History
Shirley N. Maynes (1929-2009) was the national president for the U.S. Mormon Battalion Auxiliary.
Shirley N. Maynes was born February 26, 1929 in Murray, Utah to William Albert Nelson and Isabell Hardcastle. She attended the University of Utah and Brigham Young University. She married Gaylen Despain Maynes on March 17, 1949 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was the national president for the U.S. Mormon Battalion Auxiliary for 11 years. She died on December 28, 2009.
