Scope and Contents note
Discussion of his mission call, his preparation for his mission, his trip on the "Iron Horse" to California, his departure from San Francisco, and his sea voyage to Hawaii. In Hawaii he documents his language studies, his preaching activities, his travels and activities, his friendships with the Hawaiian people, his interactions with members of the LDS faith, his worth with the sick, observations regarding the sugar cane and rice industries, and descriptions of local culture. Elder Coray also discusses Mormon doctrine and fashion and Mormon church meetings.
