Written on front: "Joseph Smith 'Mansion House' as originally built 1843. Nauvoo, IL." Written on verso: "At historic Nauvoo--The mansion house served as Joseph Smith's home from August, 1843, until his death at Carthage. Occupied by James Page, grandson of John E. Page, one of the Twelve Apostles, the mansion house is owned by the Reorganized Church and maintained as a house museum. It is headquarters for the local guide service. Many rare books are housed here."
