Scope and Contents
Portraits of family members from Frank Rhoads and Frances Cook. Note that Aunt Mame is Frank Rhoad's relative, Mary Elizabeth Rhoads Robinson. The families were very close. Note that Frances Cook Rhoads was often nicknamed Franny or Fannie. Dated approximately 1800 to 1930.

Biographical / Historical
Franklin Koons Rhoads was born October 23, 1867 in Pekin, Illinois to Samuel Rhoads and Anna Koons. He married Fanny Cook on April 27, 1892, and they had two children, Dorothy Mary and Frances Louella. Frank and Frances lived in St. Louis briefly around 1899. The family lived in Illinois for many years, near other family members. Frances Cook Rhoads died in March, 1924. Franklin died March 27, 1943 in Rock Island, Illinois. Franklin was an amateur photographer, and took hundreds of photographs on family trips and other events.
