General note
Caption on item: "Steel strapping is used for binding fibre boxes which serve as containers for nails produced at the Pittsburg, Calif., Plant of Columbia Steel Company, a U.S. Steel subsidiary. Tony Rosalez is shown looping the wire around a fibre box. When these boxes arrive at construction jobs, they can be opened easily and the tops can be replaced to protect the nails from dirt and weather."
