General note

Caption on item: "Weaving fish trap netting is part of the Wire Mill operations at Columbia Steel Company’s Pittsburg, California, Plant. Mike Constantino is shown placing a fresh spool of wire on the fish trap netting machine. Wire from the numerous spools on the frames seen at each side threads up long spindles shown in the background and comes out in the woven pattern shown at the top. The openings permit small fish to pass out of the netting, but salmon are trapped within."
