File contians materials relating to the service of Reed Nielson Rindlisbacher in the U.S. Navy during World War II aboard the U.S.S. Sevier APA 233 and was made operator of landing crafts. Materials contain photocopied photographs, photocopied government documents, photocopied typewritten letters, photocopied blessings, photocopied newspaper articles, and original handwritten letter. Memoir contains excerpts from the journal of Rindlisbacher, along with commentary from his wife as she records them. It tells of his entry into the Navy, the jobs he performed, his time at sea, the places he went aboard the U.S.S. Seveir APA 233, and of his many religious experiences during the war. Included are letters from Latter-day Saint Apostle Harold B. Lee to Rindlisbacher as he served as a Group Leader for Latter-day Saint servicemen, two recorded blessings given to him by Latter-day Saint Patriarchs, many photographs, and several articles. Dated 1940-2001.
