Harvey writes about how couples got engaged to be married. She divides the stories into five categories spontaneous giving, the surprise ring, two ring stories, the evening didn't go as planned, and the dramatic surprise to examine the trends of different engagement stories. Project was created for Dr. Eliason's English 392 course taught at Brigham Young University in 2000.
