Caption on item: "Albuquerque, N. Mex. – A canopy of steel forms the roof of Albuquerque's new Sports Stadium. Twelve cantilevered, welded bents, weighing 11 tons each, support 88 purlins and pre-coated steel docking. The 10,500 capacity stadium officiaally opened on March 31 with the San Francisco Giants and the Cleveland Indians, four home runs and a quote from Willie Mays: 'It’s the greatest minor league bal park I’ve ever played in.' Steel for the stadium was manufactured at U.S. Steel’s Geneva Works at Provo, Utah."
