Scope and Contents

This series contains correspondence between Allis Brown Stuart and R. S. Ellison, concerning the Granville Stuart papers collection, all dated in 1928. She was still living in Montana. Also included in the series is the copy of a lecture given by Mrs. Granville Stuart about the Stuart's trip to South America, and a list of books sent to Kessler.

Allis Brown Stuart (1863-1947) was Granville Stuart's second wife.

Allis Brown Stuart (1863-1947) was a native of Montana, and Granville Stuart's second wife. They were married in 1890. She was a schoolteacher, and had been hired by Granville to teach one term before they were married.
