Scope and Contents
Pair of framed badges for use on front and back of robe, Qing Dynasty. Fifth rank symbol of a bear is featured against an interlocking key fret design with slanted water and wave designs in couched gold foil covered silk thread. Includes flowers, sacred fungus and peach motifs in chain stitches. From late 19th to early 20th century.
