Scope and Contents

Contains ten original letters from Edward to either his father Isaac or his mother Louisa written in January 1862. Letters were written while traveling from Ford House in Louisville, Kentucky, to Camp Senter near Elizabethtown, Kentucky, and during the unit's stay there until the end of January 1863. It also includes a clipping from (it is supposed) the Cleveland Daily Herald, dated January 30.
